Naturally Nutritious
Dr. Murray attributed this prowess to the superior nutritional qualities of sea water at each stage of the organic food chain as stated in his book:
“a cubic foot of seawater sustains many times more living organisms than its equivalent of soil. Seawater is Earth’s most ancient natural solution, as a natural crystalloid. Taking sea water as a plant fertiliser, Dr. Murray used evaporated sea solids being unable to obtain non-toxic coastal ocean water. Controlled trials and experiments resulted in plants and trees which flourished without the need for fertilisers and pesticides.
From the 1950s for more than 30 years, the doctor became intimately involved with hydroponics, and built his own 11 acre outdoor hydroponic farm in southwest Florida to experiment with growing various plants in his sea solids solution.
Dr. Maynard Murray’s Quest
In 1936, Dr. Murray began his lifelong research into “Sea Energy Agriculture”. He aimed to deliver the ocean’s perfect chemistry back to the depleted soil.
He correctly believed that without being able to draw on the full range of elements, plants lack the necessary nutrition to sustain the proper immune system in humans.
Using a range of experiments, Dr. Murray attempted to unlock the secret of why the sea’s plants and animals so rarely succumbed to the chronic forms of disease which affect their land-based counterparts.
The Crusade Continues…
Don Jansen farmed his family’s 15,000 acre Nebraska farm following his brother’s ill health. He left behind him a brilliant academic career and a succession of university degrees.
While trying to extract a living from the sandy Nebraskan soil, Don discovered Dr. Murray and his book “Sea Energy Agriculture”.
Inspired by the Doctor’s work, Don contacted him, purchased some sea solids and set about his own experiments on wheat and grassland, with astonishing results.
The results were so amazing, outdoing all his previous efforts, that Don found his interest in agriculture and food rekindled.
In 1983, just two years before Dr. Murray’s death, Don bought the Doctor’s farm and the intellectual rights to all his work, moving from Nebraska to Florida to continue the crusade with one subtle difference.
Don switched from using sea solids to OceanSolution, harvested well away from the coastline and any potential pollution.
This move was a good one. It avoided the need to crystallise the solution, in which process the 11 noble gasses are usually lost. Thus he retained all the 90+ naturally occurring mineral elements
